My first reaction: I didn’t even realize Gartner was still alive/relevant.
My second reaction: I agree, 80% of neoclouds won’t be around in 5 years. Mostly because the small ones will be consolidated and the large ones like Coreweave, Nebius and Verda will benefit with scale. The innovators will build the platform layer that sits atop the bare metal.
“The large hyperscalers such as Amazon, Google and Microsoft are in a better position to survive.” Thanks Captain obvious. Oh btw, Microsoft is Coreweave’s largest customer.
Is this an overreaction? Or a sign of air rushing out to the bubble?
I’m betting on the former.
